Hi my sweet angel bbys, we’re trying something funky and fresh this week.
I realized that a lot of fashion things happen every week and sometimes I don’t have enough to say about them to take up a whole newsletter but also sometimes I want to talk about more than one of them and don’t want to wait until next week because this shit moves FAST.
After my ~rebrand~ to a fashion only newsletter, I’ve been trying out different templates, so let me know how you feel about this one, but plz be nice because I am currently fragile.
ANYWAYS, let’s see what the haps where this week…
I love this woman. I have been told I look like this woman, and for that, I am sorry to this woman.
These photos were saved to my phone immediately.
Like… I want these Blumarine jeans in my possession now.
I’m not going to discuss every look, just the one’s that stood out to me, whether that be because they caused me to feel immense joy or inflicted pain.
Anya Taylor-Joy looks like she thought she was going to a royal wedding, and the bow on her dress was so disappointed when it found out that, that was not actually the case, that it deflated.
Love Versace’s signature oroton fabric, do not love this dress. Just a little bored you know? Also, I saw this from another angle and the fit looked questionable.
Feeling lukewarm about this Valentino look. Love the feather skirt; I don’t know when I started liking feathers so regularly, but here we are. I also love the color blocking. I think I would have liked it better if the top was more fitted and the necklace was more delicate.
Oh we do love this for Cynthia very much!!! Maybe a more interesting shoe from Schiaparelli though???
Apparently Dakota Johnson is the only person Kate Young doesn’t hate.
Dakota Johnson in a good Gucci suit.
Maggie Gyllenhaal in a bad Gucci suit.
I don’t know who Greta Ferro is, srry, but she just looks really cool here, and I don’t even love this look that much, but she’s selling me on it. Why.
I love the cut of this gown and how it doesn’t rely on mesh to keep everything in place. I don’t even really mind that bow in the middle. This woman is so cool?
This man might not shower, but this look is CLEAN.
Jaime Xie is Law Roach’s latest muse, and I’m looking forward to seeing what they put together in the future. This gown is very Cavalli, so like okay, but this girl pulls lewks on the daily. Have you seen her Instagram? Now that she’s working with a stylist, I’m gonna be picky and expect a moment.
Kristen Stewart is a Chanel girl (and the love of my life), so I’m not surprised that’s what she’s wearing. Honestly, I’m not offended by this romper. I am, however, offended by the shoes.
This look is a hate crime.
Lovely lil details, and I love that the tights match the color scheme of the dress.
Chanel really hates y’all.
Rebecca Ferguson wearing a Dior butthole.
TIMMY T!!! Love this custom look from Haider Ackermann.
Casual but still structured and adding a lil bit of texture. Love a Timmy red carpet moment, and must always talk about it.
Last but not least, this custom Balmain gown, reminiscent of the Fall 2020 collection. *Chef’s kiss* This wet, leather look is GIVING what it needed to give.
This I’m not as gagged over but I don’t hate it. I just wonder what it would look like without the blazer. I think something about that pink with black and white isn’t stroking my brain the right way, idk. You’re welcome for that visual.
I die for a Michaela Coel moment.
So consider me deceased!
Yes this does need its own section, I will not be taking any questions or comments. Here’s the thing, I’m not against tulle. Yes, it’s been done a lot, but there are designers that still do it well and make it interesting (hi Molly Goddard, Tomo Koizumi, Simone Rocha), and yet we went with Christian Siriano, and made my IBS act up. Also the fucking tank top lolololol.
Okay this didn’t happen this week, but I watched it this week and I have so many questions. Trisha and consumerism are synonymous.
Wanted to buy this fish necklace from Blooming Dreamer and this belly chain from Hang on Bling, but didn't… yet.
Wanted to buy these heeled loafers (in black) and these fisherman sandals (in brown), had a mental breakdown, and did. Might have also bought a pair of vintage Miu Miu flats, whatever.
Started following @danclemt on Instagram, don’t know what I was doing before.
Got the first Love on Tour look, and we will continue to adore Harry Lambert in this house.
So that was this week in fashion. Fun!!! Right? Right.
